The short version
Hotpot bundles many AI utilities — background removal, upscaling, art generation, device mockups. Nuvex does one thing. If you want a general AI toolbox, Hotpot covers more ground; if you want the best store screenshot set, depth beats breadth.
What Hotpot actually is
Hotpot is a collection of AI graphics tools covering image editing, art generation and mockups, with App Store screenshot capability among them. The breadth is the product.
Nuvex, by contrast, is built for one output: you upload your raw app screens and a sentence describing your app, and it returns a finished five-frame store campaign in about thirty seconds. Your uploaded screen is masked before generation, so your real interface passes into the output pixel-for-pixel while the AI designs everything around it.
When Hotpot is the better choice
Genuinely — these are the cases where we would tell you to use it.
You need several kinds of image work
One subscription covering background removal, upscaling and mockups is better value than several tools if you use all of it.
You want ad-hoc image utilities
For occasional one-off tasks the toolbox model fits well.
Cost matters more than depth
If screenshots are a minor task, paying for a specialist tool is hard to justify.
When Nuvex is the better choice
Store screenshots are the actual job
Every part of Nuvex — the copywriting, the frame-role structure, the device handling, the export sizes — exists for this one output.
You want a campaign, not single images
Nuvex generates a coherent five-frame set with a narrative structure, not five unrelated images.
Your UI must be preserved exactly
The uploaded screen is masked so the model cannot alter it.
Honest caveats about Nuvex
If screenshots are a once-a-year task and you have other image work, a toolkit is the more sensible purchase. Nuvex is worth it when the listing genuinely matters to your install rate.
Nuvex also makes still frames only — App Preview video needs a different tool, and we would rather say that than sell you a workaround. And it never puts invented star ratings, unearned award badges or fake press logos on a frame.
Frequently asked questions
Does Hotpot make App Store screenshots?
Yes, among many other image tools. The difference is depth: Nuvex handles frame roles, campaign consistency and per-store export as first-class concerns.
Which is cheaper?
Depends on usage. If you use several Hotpot tools regularly it may cost less overall; for screenshots alone, compare per-set cost.
