App Store screenshots must be exactly 1290 × 2796 pixels for iPhone 6.9-inch devices (iPhone 16 Pro Max, 15 Pro Max). Other accepted sizes include 1242 × 2688 (6.5"), 1170 × 2532 (6.1"), 2064 × 2752 (13" iPad Pro), and 2048 × 2732 (12.9" iPad Pro). Google Play screenshots must be 320–3840px per side with max 2:1 aspect ratio in JPEG or 24-bit PNG format. The Google Play feature graphic must be exactly 1024 × 500 pixels. Use this free tool to validate your screenshots against all these requirements before uploading.

Why screenshot dimensions matter

App Store Connect enforces strict pixel dimensions for every screenshot. A file that is off by even one pixel gets rejected during upload. Google Play is more flexible with size ranges, but the wrong aspect ratio can make your screenshots look cropped, blurry, or unprofessional in the store listing.

This dimension checker validates your images against every current Apple device requirement — iPhone 6.9", 6.7", 6.5", 6.1", 5.5", 4.7", iPad 13", 12.9", 11", Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Vision Pro — plus all Google Play screenshot and feature graphic specs. You get instant pass/warn/fail verdicts with specific fix recommendations.

What to do after checking

  1. If your screenshot passes, upload it directly to App Store Connect or Play Console.
  2. If it fails on dimensions, resize to the exact pixel size shown in the fix recommendation.
  3. If the format is wrong, re-export as PNG (Apple) or JPEG (Google Play preferred).
  4. Confirm your first 2-3 screenshots are your strongest marketing frames, not raw empty-state screens.
  5. Use the App Store preview simulator to see how your screenshots look at store-listing scale before publishing.
