The generator

AI App Store screenshot generator.

Upload the screens you already have. Nuvex designs the headline, the background, the device framing and the layout around them, and gives you a finished store-ready set in about thirty seconds.

What it actually does

App Store screenshots are the highest-leverage asset in a listing. Most people decide whether to install from the pictures, before they read a word of the description. But producing them normally means either paying a designer several hundred dollars per set, or dropping your screens into a template that a thousand other apps are already using.

Nuvex is the third option. You give it your raw app screens and a short description of what your app does. It returns a complete set of marketing screenshots — each one with its own headline, its own background art, its own composition — designed for your app specifically rather than pulled from a library.

The important part is what it does not touch. Your interface is never regenerated.

Your app UI is preserved exactly

This is the difference that matters most, and it is worth being precise about because most AI image tools cannot do it.

Before generation starts, Nuvex places your uploaded screen onto the canvas and masks it. The mask tells the image model that this rectangle is off limits. The model paints the entire panel around it — background, headline, decorative elements, the iPhone bezel itself — but it cannot alter a single pixel inside the mask.

That means your real button labels, your real data, your real icons, your real fonts and your real spacing all survive into the finished screenshot. Ask a general-purpose AI image tool to "make an App Store screenshot of my app" and it will confidently invent a plausible-looking interface that is not yours — wrong text, invented features, garbled type. Apple rejects listings for exactly that. Nuvex avoids the problem structurally rather than by asking the model nicely.

How it works

1. Upload your screens

Drop in the screens you want to feature — usually three to five. Simulator captures, real device screenshots and exported design frames all work. There is nothing to crop or resize first.

2. Describe your app

A couple of sentences about what the app does and who it is for. This is what the copywriting is built from, so the headlines argue for your actual product rather than saying "Beautiful Design" and "Easy To Use" like a template would.

3. Generate

Each frame takes roughly 8 to 14 seconds and they render in parallel, so a five-frame set is usually done in 30 to 45 seconds. You get a complete campaign — a hook frame, feature frames and a closing frame — that reads as one designed set rather than five unrelated images.

4. Refine what you want to change

Nothing is locked. Regenerate a single frame while leaving the rest untouched, rewrite one headline, or ask for a specific change to one panel. Frames that fail to render are refunded automatically — you are only charged for what actually gets painted.

What you get out

Downloads are 1320 × 2868 pixels, which satisfies Apple's 6.9-inch iPhone display requirement — the slot App Store Connect asks for first. The same set is accepted for the 6.5-inch and 6.7-inch slots, so one upload covers every modern iPhone size.

The same files clear Google Play, which asks for a minimum of 1080 pixels on the longest edge and a 16:9 or 9:16 aspect. If you are unsure whether an image you already have will be accepted, the screenshot size checker will validate it against both stores in a couple of seconds.

Full specifications, per device and per store, are documented in the App Store screenshot sizes and Google Play screenshot requirements references.

How this differs from template generators

Most tools marketed as screenshot generators are template editors. You choose a layout from a fixed set, drop your screen into the slot, type a headline over it and export. They are fast, and for some apps that is genuinely enough.

The limitation is that the design is not about your app. The background, the arrangement and the visual language were decided before anyone knew what you built, and any app in your category that used the same tool will look related to yours. In a category page full of competitors, that is a real cost.

Nuvex generates the design per set. The background art, the headline typography, the hero elements and the composition are produced for your app and your description, which is why two apps in the same category do not come out looking like siblings. The trade is that generation takes about thirty seconds rather than being instant, and that you are directing a model rather than dragging boxes.

Neither approach wins universally. If you want the honest version of that comparison — including the cases where a template tool or a designer is the better call — it is laid out in the screenshot generator comparison.

Who this is for

Indie developers and small teams shipping without a designer, who need a listing that does not look like it was made without a designer.

Teams testing their store listing, who need several distinct visual directions to run against each other rather than one set they are stuck with. Generating a second full campaign takes another thirty seconds, which makes A/B testing your screenshots actually practical.

Anyone relaunching — a rebrand, a major version, or a listing that has not been touched in two years and is quietly costing installs on every impression.

Pricing

Creating an account gives you free credits with no credit card, which is enough to generate a set and see real output on your own screens before deciding anything. Paid credit packs start at $5, and remove the watermark for full-resolution downloads. There are monthly plans if you ship regularly, and one-time packs that never expire if you do not.

Frequently asked questions

Does the AI change my app's interface?

No. Your uploaded screen is masked before generation, so the model can only paint around it. Your interface passes through to the final image unchanged.

Are AI-generated App Store screenshots allowed?

Yes. Apple requires that screenshots accurately represent the app in use. Because Nuvex preserves your real screens instead of inventing an interface, the result shows genuine product UI. The AI generates the marketing design around it, which has always been permitted — the same thing a designer would produce by hand.

How many screenshots should I upload?

Three to five. Apple allows up to ten per device size, but the first two or three are what almost everyone actually sees, so lead with your strongest feature rather than saving it.

Can I use the output on Google Play too?

Yes. The exported files satisfy Play's requirements as well as Apple's, so one generation covers both stores.

What if a frame comes out wrong?

Regenerate that frame on its own, or describe the change you want. The rest of the set stays exactly as it is. Frames that fail outright are refunded automatically.

Do I need design experience?

No. The input is your screens and a description of your app in plain language. If you can explain what your app does to a friend, that is the whole skill requirement.
