The short version
Figma is the professional standard and gives you total control — which means the design is entirely your job. Nuvex generates the set. If you or someone on your team can design, Figma produces the best possible result. If not, Figma produces a blank canvas.
What Figma actually is
Figma is a professional interface design tool. For store screenshots it offers exact control over every element, component systems, real collaboration, and community templates for device frames. It is what most agency and in-house designers use.
Nuvex, by contrast, is built for one output: you upload your raw app screens and a sentence describing your app, and it returns a finished five-frame store campaign in about thirty seconds. Your uploaded screen is masked before generation, so your real interface passes into the output pixel-for-pixel while the AI designs everything around it.
When Figma is the better choice
Genuinely — these are the cases where we would tell you to use it.
You have design skill or a designer
Nothing beats a good designer in Figma. Nuvex targets the case where that is not available.
You need pixel-exact brand compliance
If frames must match a documented brand system precisely, only manual control guarantees it.
Your screenshots are already built there
Iterating an existing Figma file beats regenerating from scratch.
You need components across many assets
Reusable components keep dozens of assets consistent in ways generation does not.
When Nuvex is the better choice
You do not design
This is the entire distinction. Figma gives capability; it does not give taste, and a blank artboard is not a starting point for most developers.
You need it today
A designed set in about thirty seconds versus hours of manual work.
You want five options quickly
Regenerating a full alternative campaign takes another thirty seconds, which makes real A/B testing practical.
Honest caveats about Nuvex
A skilled designer in Figma will beat generated output. We are not claiming otherwise — Nuvex exists for the far more common case where that designer does not exist, and the realistic alternative is raw unframed captures.
Nuvex also makes still frames only — App Preview video needs a different tool, and we would rather say that than sell you a workaround. And it never puts invented star ratings, unearned award badges or fake press logos on a frame.
Frequently asked questions
Is Figma free for App Store screenshots?
Figma has a free tier that covers this comfortably. The cost is your time and design skill, not the licence.
Can I edit Nuvex output in Figma?
Yes — downloads are standard PNGs you can bring into any design tool for further work.
